Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, individualized occupational therapy services in accordance with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP).

• Develop and update IEP goals and therapy plans based on student progress and Alabama state guidelines.

• Adapt therapy strategies to support students functional, motor, and sensory development needs.

• Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and families to ensure holistic student support.

• Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to support goal achievement.

• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and clinical insight.

• Maintain accurate and timely records that comply with Alabama education regulations and district protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Active and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Alabama .

• At least two years of experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.

• Skilled in creating treatment plans, writing progress reports, and navigating special education compliance.

• Comfortable using digital tools and remote therapy platforms.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

• Ability to manage a virtual caseload independently and effectively.
