Family Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Northern Alabama

An FQHC is seeking a family medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.
Visit Cathedral Caverns State Park, the U.S Space and Rocket Center, or Huntsville Botanical Garden while on assignment in Northern Alabama!
The assignment starts ASAP with a preferred commitment of one year, though 6 to 8 months may be considered. Credentialing takes about 90 days. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This role is MD only and requires collaboration with midlevel providers. There is a 1:6 call schedule, phone calls first go through a service before reaching the provider, with typically 1-2 calls per week. The average patient load is 15-20 per day, with patients aged 14 and older. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, hold an Alabama license and DEA registration, and have a flu vaccine. The support team includes one physician and three NPs. The EMR system used is eClinicalWorks (ECW).
