PS Companies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

Job Description & Requirements

Position: MS RN – Nights
Start Date: 7/14 or 7/28 (Bi-weekly orientation)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week (will accept 48 upon request)
OT Policy: OT begins after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) or 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Float Requirement:

2-hour notice for cross-campus float
Mid-shift float within same campus is rare
Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: 3 weekends out of every 6-week schedule; every other holiday

Required Certifications (to be submitted with profile):

Compact RN License
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
NIHSS

Minimum Experience Required:

3 years of strong Med/Surg
2 completed travel assignments
Trauma Level II experience

Charting Experience:

EPIC (required)
Must complete a checkoff class

Sepsis
High fall risk
COPD
CHF

Required Skills:

Remote telemetry
Chest tubes
NG/PEG tubes
Straight cath/Foleys
Ostomies
Heparin drips
Blood/blood product administration
Tracheostomy care
PCA management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Strong social/cultural communication
Must be resilient and manage change well

Unit Information:

Unit: Med/Surg
Beds: 41
Ratios: Days 1:4–5, Nights 1:6–7

Unit Strengths: Experienced leadership and strong CNA support Scrubs: No competing health system or agency logos Call-ins: 3 or more may result in termination Teaching Facility: May involve precepting students and new hires Covid-19 Vaccine: Not required (subject to change)
