Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Provide clinical expertise and guidance to ensure quality of nursing care to residents and enforce safe work procedures.
">">
2. Clinical Care: Monitor residents' condition and report daily to the Director of Nursing, perform nursing rounds on assigned units, provide assessment of residents and arrange for provision of necessary nursing care or other professional services in both licensed and unlicensed areas.
">">
3. Staff Management: Implement daily staff assignments, coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges of residents, supervise transcription and verification of physicians orders, monitor and provide medication administration and treatment when needed.

4. Quality Improvement: Participate in in-service training for nursing services, monitor medical record charting by nursing staff, participate in the orientation, performance appraisal and disciplinary guidance for nursing personnel as requested.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least three to five years experience in patient care, with at least one year experience in a long-term care setting.
">">
• Licence and Certification: Licence to practice nursing as an Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

• Skills: Assessment, decision-making, nursing procedures, customer service orientation, communication, computer skills, liaisons-internal/external, team participation, self-direction, detail oriented, strong verbal communication skills.
