We are seeking to appoint a general manager who will lead a team focused on providing an exceptional dining experience.
Below are the responsibilities of the General Manager:
- Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and Customer-service standards. Determining and implementing system improvements. in other words - Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
- Making sure all the staff (FOH & BOH) performs their duties in order
- Attracting Customers by developing and implementing marketing & advertising strategies
- Conflict resolution & Decision making
- Ensuring restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff. Planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions. planning and reviewing compensation actions. enforcing policies and procedures.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
- Organizing schedules
- Keeping track of employees' hours.
- Recording payroll data
- Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
