José Andrés Group and the Bazaar Meat team are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Banquet Coordinator to be the essential bridge between our team and the hotel’s banquet operations. In this vital role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of events—ensuring flawless communication, exceptional logistics, and unforgettable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between our Bazaar Meat team and the hotel’s banquet and events departments.
- Be an ambassador of JAG culture, history, and mission at all touchpoints with hotel partners and vendors.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and hotel staff to coordinate logistics, event setup, AV needs, timelines, and floor plans.
- Attend and contribute to BEO meetings, walkthroughs, and day-of event operations to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Support onboarding and training of event staff related to JAG-specific service expectations.
- Oversee proper setup, service execution, and breakdown of banquet functions to meet brand and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain efficient communication between multiple stakeholders, including hotel banquet staff, culinary teams, and event planners.
- Track inventory levels, manage par stock, and ensure proper documentation and invoicing for all banquet-related items.
- Conduct food & beverage quality checks and facilitate timely delivery of all event-related products and services.
- Provide post-event feedback to improve future coordination and guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience coordinating high-touch events and liaising with hotels or large venues.
- Hotel banquet experience required; understanding of hotel operations and event protocols is essential.
- Proven success in managing event logistics, staffing, and vendor coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and resolve problems calmly under pressure.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence in guest experience.
- Fluent in both verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of invoice processing and basic accounting procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; Google Workspace experience a plus.
- ServSafe and Alcohol Service Certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Available for a flexible, event-based schedule, including evenings and weekends.
