Job DetailsThe Glassware Polisher is responsible for the handling and meticulous polishing of premium glassware prior to events at Vendador. This role focuses on maintaining the pristine condition of our extensive collection of Riedel wine glasses, champagne flutes, cognac glasses, and other specialty glassware. Additionally, the position includes running glassware through dishwasher when BOH is otherwise unavailable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Polish premium glassware (Riedel wine glasses, champagne flutes, cognac glasses, cocktail glasses) to spotless, professional standards
- Prepare glassware inventory twice weekly in advance of weekend events
- Run racks of glassware through dishwasher as backup support when BOH is unavailable
- Maintain and organize glassware storage in FOH room
- Execute quality polishing to ensure zero spots or streaks
- Handle delicate and expensive glassware with extreme care and attention
- Deep cleaning and organization of glassware storage areas monthly

We are now hiring a friendly and detail-oriented Glassware Polisher to join our team - As a critical member of the events team, a successful Glassware Polisher will prioritize precision, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. You will have previous experience working with glassware in fine dining, hospitality, or luxury retail environments, with expertise in achieving spotless results on specialty glassware.
Our kitchen is located right off the CTA Green Line for ease of commuting.
What you can expect:
- Schedule: Twice weekly (flexible days), 4-6 hour shifts based on event calendar
- Primary focus on Tuesday-Thursday preparation for weekend events
- Must be available for occasional schedule adjustments based on event needs
- Polish glassware with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring zero spots, streaks, or smudges
- Work with premium glassware collections requiring specialized handling techniques
- Consistently uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Work independently while maintaining communication with kitchen team regarding inventory needs
- Learn and retain standard operating procedures for glassware handling and storage
- Competitive hourly rate reflecting specialized skills ($20.00-$22.00/hour)

Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience polishing glassware in fine dining, hospitality, or luxury retail
- Knowledge of proper polishing techniques
