Employment Attorney

JBA has an opening in downtown Los Angeles with a law firm specializing in employee rights, seeking an Associate Attorney for the employment department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of Employment litigation experience, performing the following tasks:

1. Attending depositions
2. Assisting the senior attorneys with trial prep
3. Making court appearances
4. Law and Motion writing
5. Trial and Arbitration
6. Legal writing and research
7. Drafting correspondence
8. Summarizing and/or propounding discovery
9. Drafting notices and objections
10. Interacting with clients

Required qualifications:

1. 3+ years of Employment Law experience
2. Trial and Arbitration experience
3. Strong legal research and analysis
4. General knowledge of California Civil Procedure
5. Experience drafting and responding to discovery
6. Legal writing experience
7. Well-organized and detail-oriented
8. Reliable and punctual
9. Ability to commute daily to DTLA

Salary range: $125,000 to $175,000 based on experience + Percentage of attorney fees recovered (potentially worth six figures) + End-of-year discretionary annual bonus.
