A prestigious law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Counsel to join its Los Angeles office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-level employment litigation cases , including class actions and PAGA matters, while advising clients on compliance with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend complex single-plaintiff cases, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and reasonable accommodation matters.
- Handle PAGA and class action litigation from start to finish.
- Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs and corporate representatives.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.
- Counsel clients on federal and California state employment laws and workplace policies.
- Provide strategic legal advice on employment compliance and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) required ; must be licensed to practice in California.
- 9-12 years of experience in employment litigation within a law firm.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating with a team.
- A small portable book of business is a plus but not required.
- Hybrid role requiring three days in the office per week.
- Fast-paced and dynamic legal team focused on employment law.
