Position Title: Director of Client Solutions

Position Overview
The Director of Client Solutions (DOCS) grows both revenue and client relationships by leading the design phase of high-impact events. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on client engagement to design meetings, conferences, incentive trips, and special events that achieve clear business results underpinned by targeted behavioral change. The DOCS also identifies opportunities to expand existing client partnerships, secures new business, and boosts overall agency revenue. Collaborating closely with internal teams, senior leaders, and clients, the DOCS ensures events align seamlessly with organizational goals and support the agency's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales, Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Develop strategic sales approaches and outreach initiatives to attract high-value clients.
- Build long-term client relationships and proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Lead the creation and presentation of compelling proposals that align with client goals and agency capabilities.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Sr. Director of Operations to refine pricing strategies, service offerings, and financial models.
- Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report progress to leadership.
- Ensure sales and revenue goals are met or exceeded through proactive business development efforts.
- Client Strategy & Relationship Management
- Serve as the strategic point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Lead discovery and strategy sessions with clients to define event objectives, desired behavioral outcomes, and success metrics.
- Develop proposals and work within event design frameworks that ensure alignment with client goals and agency capabilities.
- Manage contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and scope development in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Operations and Sr. Director of Meetings & Incentives.
- Provide ongoing strategic counsel to clients, identifying opportunities for growth and long-term partnerships.
- Event Strategy & Design
- Oversee the execution of Strategic Design Sessions using the Event Design Canvas (EDC) model, to ensure event concepts align with strategic objectives.
- Define key stakeholder engagement strategies, incorporating behavioral science, sensory design, and experiential methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate strategic vision into actionable event plans.
- Ensure that all event concepts integrate ROI-driven frameworks to deliver measurable client value.
- Internal Collaboration & Leadership
- Work alongside the Sr. Director of Meetings & Incentives (Sr. Dir. M&I) to maintain quality assurance and executional consistency.
- Lead internal strategic planning meetings, ensuring cross-functional alignment on client projects.
- Contribute to the development of agency methodologies and best practices for strategic event management.
- Post-Event Activity
- Lead post-event debriefs with clients and planners to assess outcomes against initial objectives.
- Analyze post-event success metrics and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work with the Sr. Dir. M&I to ensure all deliverables meet agency quality standards.
- Develop insights and reports that inform future client strategies and agency-wide improvements.
- Monitor event profitability and identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation.
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in event strategy, experiential marketing, client management, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop strategic event concepts that drive behavioral change and business results.
- Strong track record in sales, revenue generation, and business development within the events or experiential marketing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain high-value client relationships.
- Expertise in event design methodologies, including Design Thinking, the Event Design Canvas (EDC) and experience design frameworks.
- Experience in financial planning, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Ability to synthesize data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Zoho CRM, or similar platforms).
