A facility in Asheville, NC, is seeking a neurosurgery physician associate for locum tenens coverage. This role requires candidates to have both a North Carolina medical license and NC DEA registration; please do not submit anyone without these credentials.

The schedule involves 12-hour day shifts from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. The ideal candidate has prior neurosurgery experience and first assist experience. Responsibilities include handling an average of 12 consults per day, assisting surgeons on a PRN basis, supporting floor call, answering clinical questions, managing prescriptions, and entering orders. The facility uses Cerner as its EMR system, with support staff including RNs, PCTs, and EEG Techs.
