The EE-V candidate will be a recognized expert within the company, who architects, designs, researches, and develops highly advanced Single Board Computers (SBCs), Digital Signal Processing Cards, and other card-level products for Mil-Aero and space applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company.

The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across sites on EE projects with full design cycle, recommending strategic EE technical paths for business expansion across the company; defining industry best practices for the company, mentorship, and applying extensive technical expertise to design problems to provide innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Works on multiple major projects of the highest complexity requiring cutting-edge, innovative solutions.
2. Design complex card-level products and provide technical inputs for complex systems designs.
3. Strong understanding of development programs with experience across the entire development lifecycle from concept to production.
4. Occasional technical consultant across multiple sites.
5. Long-range technical planning on multiple major projects.
6. Results have a critical impact on the objectives and goals of the program.
7. Lead or strongly influence a group of engineers and technicians.
8. Self-supervising within guidance and expectations of site management.
9. Provides guidance to several groups of the organization and influences functional area strategic goals.
10. Exercises independent initiative/judgment in setting and implementing goals.
11. Highly skilled at writing any technical document.
12. Design complex card-level products through the full design cycle including conceptual design, components selection, design trades, schematic capture, analyses support, PCB layout rules, and PCB design support, verification support.
13. Lead junior engineers when required.
14. Drive process improvements mentorship and EE review boards.
15. Lead peer reviews for technical development.

Requirements

Technical Experience

1. SME or a technical expert in the EE field.
2. Minimum 15+ years of SBCs/Digital Design experience with mil-aero programs; space programs a plus.
3. High-speed interfaces design experience (PCIe Gen 3, DDR3/4, 10GbE, etc.).
4. Experience with standard bus architectures such as VPX, VME, cPCI.
5. Consistently demonstrates extremely high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity within the industry.
6. Craft effective strategic technical paths (technology development roadmap) to capture new adjacent business.
7. Very proficient in development tools for design capture, simulation, and debug, particularly with OrCAD Schematic Capture.

Education

1. Bachelor's of Science + 10-14 years, Master's of Science + 8-12 years, or PhD + 5-9 years.
