General Summary:

This position focuses on compliance related to content moderation and SaaS platform support for AI platforms. Responsibilities include managing policies, conducting software reviews, and identifying legal issues around datasets and AI models.

The candidate will work with software developers to review hosted third-party software, models, and datasets for content compliance and support Qualcomm’s content moderation team. They will also advise on integration of internally developed software within AI toolchains, analyze license terms, evaluate IP considerations, and review model/data cards.

The role requires maintaining awareness of Data and AI regulations and case law, investigating regulatory concerns, and supporting compliance initiatives. Collaboration with experts in exports, cybersecurity, data management, privacy, and other legal teams is essential.

Prior experience with SaaS business models, platform hosting, datasets, AI models, privacy, and IP is advantageous. Skills in negotiations and engaging with the global developer community are also valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant legal practice
• 5+ years as counsel in law firms or in-house, focusing on SaaS, content moderation, licensing, or IP
• Ability to handle complex content and AI legal scenarios
• Knowledge of software, AI/ML, deep learning, content management, acceptable use policies, digital rights, social media liability, and SaaS/cloud services

Education:

• Required: Juris Doctorate or equivalent
• Preferred: Engineering degree with exposure to computer science or related experience supporting software development and AI/ML

Minimum Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent
• 5+ years relevant legal experience
• Active bar license or ability to obtain one

Compensation & Benefits:
