Sr. Technical Program Manager, WWPS Field Operations and Experience Engineering

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Program Manager to partner with a team of system, software, and security engineers to continue build and operation of our expanding internal corporate Controlled Working Environment (CWE) in support of US and global governments. We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, and motivated Technical Program Manager to lead the development of this corporate environment to include definition of architecture and technology approaches to automate, enhance, and build new functionality for end-user environments. Key job responsibilities
- Own and track team engineering delivery, goals, metrics, and stakeholder management.
- Work closely with business and tech leadership to define product and tech roadmap.
- Solve customer projects by applying technical and problem-solving skills.
- Create and implement automated processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency and scalability.
- Engage with and influence the key stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance, security and operational functional requirements are met or exceeded.
- Own and lead sprint management activities with our engineers.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience leading a team of System, Infrastructure, and/or Security engineers as technical lead on large projects
- Experience leading software development efforts (e.g., Agile) to build automation, testing, and/or monitoring tools using Python, Java, or Ruby
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with technical and non-technical peers
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree
- Understanding and experience implementing/overseeing Government compliance requirements/programs such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC
- 5+ years of experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture
- Experience with open-source technologies
- Experience maintaining distributed systems and web services
- Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
