Role Overview:

We’re seeking a high-impact VP of Growth & Business Development to lead our full-cycle revenue organization, spanning government and commercial customers. You’ll build and manage a cross-functional sales team, including Account Executives (AEs), Business Development (BD) leaders, and Sales/Business Development Representatives (SDRs/BDRs). You’ll drive top-of-funnel lead generation through to contract close, with a particular emphasis on navigating complex procurement environments in the government sector while growing strategic commercial accounts..

Key Responsibilities:

Own the full revenue lifecycle across federal and commercial segments
Develop and execute an enterprise sales strategy aligned with Legion’s mission to connect AI with mission-critical systems.
Achieve revenue, retention, and channel targets by expanding Legion’s presence across key government and enterprise accounts.
Grow and enable channel sales partnerships to drive market penetration
Go-to-Market Execution:
Lead the design and implementation of go-to-market strategies for Legion’s secure AI solutions tailored to customer needs
Partner with marketing and product teams to position Legion as the premier AI platform in high-security environments
Client Engagement and Partnership Building:
Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders within federal agencies, including the DoD and national security organizations
Collaborate with technology and go-to-market partners to deliver transformative solutions that enhance legacy systems with AI
Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the federal sector and target enterprise verticals, leveraging Legion’s unique value proposition in secure, scalable AI integration.
Build and manage a high-performing business development team
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications:

Experience:
10+ years in technology product sales, go-to-market, or business development roles, with a focus on the federal government market.
Proven track record of selling into federal agencies, particularly the DoD or national security organizations, both directly and via channel partners
Experience with AI, data analytics, or enterprise software solutions is a strong advantage.
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes, compliance requirements, and security standards for sensitive and classified environments.
Extensive experience in AI, data analytics, or enterprise software, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of deploying these technologies in mission-critical environments.
Familiarity with integrating AI solutions into legacy systems of record to unlock operational efficiency, productivity, and decision-making insights.
Expertise in leveraging AI technologies to address complex challenges within federal agencies, including DoD and national security organizations.
Strong understanding of the evolving AI landscape, including emerging trends, tools, and frameworks relevant to high-security environments

Security Clearance:

Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
US Citizenship is required due to US Government contract requirements
