Job Description
Dash Bio is hiring an experienced, results-oriented Directors of Sales to drive growth in our clinical bioanalysis
services. You will be responsible for identifying and closing new business with biotech and pharma companies
that need high-quality, fast-turnaround bioanalytical support for their clinical programs. This is a strategic,
consultative sales role—ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the CRO landscape who can credibly
engage scientific and operational stakeholders, communicate Dash’s differentiated value, and build lasting
partnerships. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience selling or supporting clinical bioanalysis services
(e.g., ELISA, LC-MS/MS) and brings an existing network of biopharma relationships.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build deep relationships with decision-makers (C-Suite, clinical leaders, scientists, lab managers, QA/RA) in client organizations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, translating client needs into product features or support initiatives.
- Strategic Market Expansion
- Identify, pursue, and close new business with biotech companies, CROs, and pharma clients.
- Develop and refine a go-to-market strategy tailored to niche client needs (e.g. modality, therapeutic area, assay platform)
- Sales Execution
- Own the full sales cycle up to closing: prospecting, demos, proposal creation, negotiation, and expansion.
- Customize sales materials and presentations for highly technical audiences expecting experience in clinical bioanalysis
- Product and Market Feedback Loop
- Act as a bridge between customers and the internal teams to guide feature prioritization based on market needs and feedback.
- Stay informed about client workflows, pain points, and regulatory pressures
- Brand Building and Thought Leadership
- Represent the company at scientific and analytics conferences at least 10 times per year
- Ongoing support of an participation in industry events, company webinars, and other networking and lead generating opportunities
- Help shape the company’s positioning and messaging in the market, creating content such as white papers, case studies, or targeted campaigns.
- CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM tools.
- Work closely with RevOps team to shape tool configuration, data management, dashboards and reports, and measure KPIs
- Contract Development
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, MSAs, CDAs, and subscription models with input from legal and technical stakeholders.
- Startup-Level Collaboration
- Wear multiple hats—contribute to marketing, customer success, and onboarding processes when needed.
- Work hands-on with leadership to evolve business models, pricing strategies, and growth targets.
- Scientific & Technical Communication
- Communicate clearly with both technical users and non-technical decision-makers, often bridging IT, QA, and R&D.
- Stay current with scientific developments in bioanalytical services to align product messaging and features with industry needs.
Required Skills
- Education: Master’s degree in a life science field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology); PhD is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in clinical bioanalytical sales or business development.
- Familiarity with bioanalytical tools, lab workflows, or CRO services is a must.
- Strong leadership, influence, and decision-making skills in a matrixed or cross-functional setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact effectively with executive stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Able to synthesize technical data into strategic actions.
