We are seeking an attorney with significant litigation experience to join as an Assistant General Counsel, Litigation. This role reports to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, overseeing the litigation team within the Legal department. The position is global, covering all Intuit products and services.

This role is hybrid, with an expectation of 3 days per week on-site.
Responsibilities
- Managing and resolving lawsuits and pre-litigation disputes to achieve favorable business and legal outcomes.
- Driving responses to investigations and inquiries from regulators and government entities.
- Developing strategies for managing and resolving cases and investigations.
- Conducting internal investigations and working with witnesses.
- Collaborating with legal and business teams to achieve results and facilitate risk management.
- Managing responses to third-party information requests, ensuring legal compliance and data protection.
- Managing in-house legal support staff.
- Supervising outside counsel and legal service providers, managing budgets, and reporting on litigation and investigations.
- Drafting policies, internal procedures, and conducting training to educate business partners, emphasizing data-driven decision-making.
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. The salary range varies by location:
- Bay Area, California: $247,000 - $334,000
- Southern California: $240,500 - $325,000
- Washington DC: $207,000 - $280,000
Additional compensation includes bonuses, equity, and benefits, with pay based on experience and location. We promote pay equity through regular reviews.
Minimum Requirements
- JD in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, licensed to practice law locally.
- 15+ years of combined experience in enforcement and investigations, including work at a top-tier law firm, government agency (e.g., U.S. Attorney’s Office, FTC, SEC), and in-house legal department.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Strong litigation mindset: detail-oriented, proactive, results-driven, and committed to high-quality work.
- Business-minded: able to balance risk and opportunity, think creatively, and support smart business decisions.
- Curious learner: enjoys tackling new problems and developing expertise.
- Team-oriented: skilled at building relationships, empathetic, open to feedback, and collaborative.
- Capable of managing significant caseloads and cross-company projects independently.
