Job DescriptionVisa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful, and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational, and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves strategic problems for our clients.
The NA Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s issuers in the United States. We apply deep expertise in the banking, payments, and analytics industry to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth, and improve profitability. The VCA team offers a comprehensive range of consulting services to address challenges in areas such as profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments, and risk management.
The VCA team is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Regional segment and develop high-impact projects for Visa’s clients in North America. The candidate will be responsible for selling consulting engagements, delivering, and implementing projects with US Financial Institutions / Issuing Banks. The role involves developing initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, ensuring Visa remains the preferred brand and a strategic business partner.
Key focus areas include developing strategies for clients, such as market penetration, profitability analysis, segmentation, growth, product development, program launch, customer acquisition, lifecycle optimization, retention, and enhancements.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with Visa internal teams for strategic planning.
- Managing a sales pipeline targeting client accounts and selling consulting services.
- Collaborating with other Visa teams for account planning and deal closing.
- Identifying opportunities with issuing banks and credit unions, and contributing to deal closure.
- Working with delivery partners to create solutions addressing client growth initiatives.
- Maintaining internal records for pricing, approvals, and revenue recognition.
- Leading consulting projects, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Developing frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations for impactful opportunities.
- Building solutions and insights to help clients grow their portfolios and engagement.
- Partnering across functional areas and global teams to leverage Visa’s resources.
- Producing insights and recommendations to improve client performance and growth.
- Analyzing large data sets to derive meaningful insights for clients.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering strategic leadership, diagnostics, and high-impact solutions. Building enduring relationships with clients and internal teams is essential. Candidates should have experience in sales, payments space, and managing multiple projects. Reporting to a Director within VCA, this hybrid role involves some office presence.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or 2+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ with an advanced degree, or 3+ with a PhD.
- Experience at a large management consulting firm or US financial institution.
- Payments/Financial services experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience with financial indicators and ROI impact.
- Results-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects.
- Knowledge of banking operations and payment schemes.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Team player with a technology mindset and digital trend awareness.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies based on department needs.
Travel: 5-10% of the time.
Position Environment: Office setting; requires sitting, standing, communication, and operating standard office equipment.

U.S. Applicants: Estimated salary range is $149,900 - $217,500 annually, potentially including sales incentives, bonuses, and equity. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
