We’ve designed Aizen from the ground up to simplify the AI pipeline, optimize performance, and make AI truly accessible to enterprises of all sizes.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Product Designer to lead the design direction at Aizen. In this IC (Individual Contributor) role, you’ll drive the design vision for our platform, working closely with a small team of talented engineers to craft intuitive, visually compelling experiences. Your work will set the foundation for our design system and play a key role in transforming complex AI workflows into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the product from the ground up at an early-stage startup. You’ll have a direct impact on our team, product, and design culture—helping to define how AI-powered tools should look, feel, and function for enterprises worldwide.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and Drive the Design Vision – Establish and execute the overarching design strategy for the Aizen platform, ensuring a cohesive, intuitive, and visually compelling user experience.

• Own and Build the Design System – Develop a scalable design system from the ground up to create consistency, efficiency, and a strong design foundation across the product.

• Lead End-to-End Product Design – Drive the entire design process, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity UI design and prototyping, translating complex AI workflows into simple, elegant interfaces.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner closely with engineering, product, and leadership to align design with business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs.

• Establish a User-Centered Approach – Conduct research, gather user feedback, and iterate on designs to improve usability and drive adoption of the platform.

• Prototype and Validate Quickly – Rapidly create and test design concepts to explore new ideas, refine interactions, and guide product development decisions.

• Shape the Future of Design at Aizen – Lay the foundation for scaling the design function, defining best practices, advocating for design excellence, and contributing to hiring as the team grows.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ Years of UI/UX Design Experience – Proven track record of designing and shipping high-quality products, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Expertise in Figma – At least 2 years of experience using Figma to contribute to a design system, build reusable components, and create clickable prototypes for user testing and iteration.

• Experience Designing AI/ML Products (nice to have) – Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data visualization, and designing for technical audiences or complex enterprise applications.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills – Ability to work seamlessly across engineering, product, and data science teams, balancing user needs with technical constraints.

• Startup Experience or Ability to Thrive in Ambiguity – Comfortable working in an early-stage startup, wearing multiple hats, and driving design decisions with limited resources and evolving requirements.
