Job Description
Overview Adult Tertiary Psychiatrist Island Health’s Cowichan Lodge Tertiary Care Facility is seeking a one year part-time locum for a maternity leave.
The successful applicant will provide the following services
Responsibilities Provide admissions, comprehensive assessment, treatment, care planning, stabilization, referral, and transition planning for adult tertiary mental health services (Tier 5) for individuals ages 19 and up with persistent psychiatric disorders that may have comorbidities and whose needs exceed Tiers 3 and 4.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team; participate in assessments and care planning.
Conduct assessments of capacity as required for some individuals.
Provide psychiatric consultation to other Mental Health and Substance Use programs within Island Health as well as across the Province.

May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change)
