We are advancing a new generation of biologics to treat mutant calreticulin-driven myeloproliferative neoplasms, including essential thrombocythemia and myelofibrosis, where there is significant medical need for new disease-modifying treatments.

The right candidate will join a team with significant early‑ and late‑stage development experience, with the goal of quickly moving through dose escalation/expansion into pivotal trials.

We are seeking a highly strategic, scientifically grounded leader to build and lead our global Medical Affairs function at a critical stage of growth.

The Role This is a senior leadership role at the intersection of clinical development and future commercialization.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will define and drive the overarching medical strategy across Damora’s pipeline—from late‑stage development through anticipated launch and future expansion.

You will build and manage a team of MSL’s and Medical Affairs professionals that grow with Damora.

You will operate as both a scientific leader and an enterprise partner—translating emerging data into clear medical positioning, shaping external perception through trusted KOL engagement, and building a high‑performing Medical Affairs organization from the ground up.

This role is designed for a leader who can scale with the company—establishing strong foundations today while preparing for future pipeline growth and commercialization.

What You’ll Do Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership Define and lead the overarching Medical Affairs strategy across Damora’s pipeline, spanning late‑stage development, launch readiness, and lifecycle management Translate clinical and translational data into clear, differentiated medical narratives to support adoption and clinical integration across indications Shape enterprise‑wide evidence generation strategy, including investigator‑sponsored studies (IIS), real‑world evidence (RWE), and publication planning Identify unmet needs across target disease areas (including MPNs) and incorporate insights into development and lifecycle strategies External Engagement & Scientific Leadership Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and academic centers, particularly within hematology and related specialties Establish Damora’s scientific presence within the medical community through congress engagement (e.g., ASH, EHA), advisory boards, and peer‑to‑peer exchange Serve as a credible scientific leader and spokesperson for the company in external settings Oversee medical communications and publication strategy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and impact across programs Medical Affairs Build & Execution Build and lead the global Medical Affairs function from the ground up, including Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and supporting capabilities Establish scalable processes, systems, and governance to support compliant and effective medical activities Define operating model, priorities, and resourcing to support current programs and future pipeline growth Lead planning and execution of advisory boards, congress strategy, and scientific engagement across programs Ensure organizational readiness for key milestones, including clinical data readouts, regulatory interactions, and launch preparation Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to enterprise strategy and decision‑making Partner across the organization to ensure alignment on development, evidence generation, and medical strategy Provide medical insight and guidance to inform key business decisions, risks, and opportunities Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing Medical Affairs team Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and accountability Scale the function thoughtfully in line with company growth and pipeline expansion What You’ll Bring MD, PharmD, or PhD in hematology, oncology, or a related scientific discipline 10–15+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or clinical development within biotech or pharma Deep expertise in hematology/oncology; experience in myeloproliferative neoplasms preferred Proven ability to build and scale high‑performing teams, including attracting top talent, developing leaders, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to late‑stage development and/or product launches Strong track record of KOL engagement and scientific leadership in external settings Experience building or scaling Medical Affairs capabilities in a growth‑stage or pre‑commercial environment Deep understanding of clinical data, evidence generation, and regulatory/commercial interfaces Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and executive leadership Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex science into clear insights At Damora Therapeutics, we offer competitive compensation and thoughtfully designed total rewards aligned with industry benchmarks.
