Job Description

The Director of Finance is a senior executive responsible for leading all financial operations of a luxury full‑service hotel.

This role ensures financial integrity, profitability, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning, while serving as a trusted business partner to hotel leadership, ownership, and corporate stakeholders.

The Director of Finance provides data‑driven insight to support operational excellence and long‑term asset value.

Act as the principal financial advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee Analyze business performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actionable strategies to improve financial results Support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and asset optimization efforts Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and brand standards Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets Manage all audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Revenue Management to maximize profitability and optimize hotel performance Monitor departmental expenses, labor productivity, and operating margins; drive accountability and corrective actions Lead capital expenditure planning, tracking, and return‑on‑investment analysis Manage cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet performance Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, brand standards, and regulatory requirements Oversee risk management initiatives, including insurance coverage, contract financial review, and fraud prevention Serve as primary point of contact for owners, auditors, lenders, and corporate finance partners Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Create succession plans and support professional development within the department Oversee effective use of all financial systems, reporting tools, and hotel management platforms Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance management reporting Support financial system upgrades and technology implementations as required What are we looking for?

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within luxury or upper‑upscale full‑service hotels Previous experience as a Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance in a complex hotel operation strongly preferred Demonstrated experience partnering with ownership groups and corporate finance teams Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred Compensation $170,000 - $185,000 Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
