The Academic Dean is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, and academic integrity of the campus.
This role oversees faculty, curriculum development, student success initiatives, accreditation compliance, and overall academic operations.
Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8a-5pm
Employment: Permanent Hire
Location: Miramar, FL (in-person)
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Academic, Administration, Education (required)
- Eight (8) years leadership experience in education (required)
- Four (4) years experience teaching or acting in an administrative role within a post-secondary institution (preferred)
- Prior experience as an Academic Dean (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Provide curriculum development, academic policies, and faculty development
- Ensure academic programs meet accreditation, state, and federal requirements
- Implement training programs and workshops for faculty/staff for professional development
- Lead campus student retention efforts and support program directors and faculty with retention activities, strategies, and initiatives
- Manage budgetary and financial planning for the academic division
- Foster relationships with external partners, including businesses, advisory boards, community organizations, and accrediting bodies
