Kin + Carta is hiring a Head of Digital Product to join our CDS team and use the platform to help drive our internal digital transformation. The Head of Digital Product will be responsible for leading and managing the product management team, and driving the development of digital products to meet the needs of customers and the strategic goals of the organization. The Head of Digital Product will work closely with our Development Teams, Business Process Office, Operations and sales teams to ensure the successful launch and adoption of digital products and platforms. Initially we will look to this role to provide leadership to the group of product owners for our Salesforce Platform to help us build a global standard across all our regions.
The Head of Digital Product is a critical role within the company, responsible for leading the development of products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of product development processes, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for creating products that solve real-world problems.
Role responsibilities
- Leadership - Lead and manage a team of product owners, ensuring they are aligned with the company's overall enterprise business strategy and create a digital product strategy to build a digital twin globally
- Strategy - Contribute to the development of a business strategy around our portfolio of digital products including our Salesforce Platform, HRIS, and others. Ensure that the plan is realistic and activate it with the product people on your team
- Product Performance - Ensure that the group of portfolio of digital products the team members look after is effectively managed and creating business outcomes
- Product Management - Help establish the right Agile product management ways of working and facilitate the selection of the right product management tools
- Continuous Improvement - Help the people on your team continuously improve their ways of working and develop an infinite mindset
- Stakeholder Management - You will be responsible for strategic partnerships and lead necessary negotiations in ways of working to deliver quality digital products and services
- Product Strategy - Create and cultivate an environment where product owners create effective product strategies and execute them
- Agile Project Management – Lead and coach members of product team to work in Agile ways to deliver on project timelines and goals
- Performance Management - Ensure your team of product owners are gathering continue feedback from their users, stakeholders and peers in an effort to grow and learn at their craft
- Customer Satisfaction - Build a digital environment that helps drive engagement and adoption of the digital products built by ensuring that they are addressing user needs with delightful user experience design informed by usage analytics
- Measurements - Define and monitor the company relevant KPIs and control how we measure the achievement of goals and objectives
- Change Management - Lobby for the necessary organizational changes to fully establish an effective product management function
- Communication Strategy - Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for digital products across all internal operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging
- Innovation - Create and present visionary innovations, strategic decision proposals, as well as business cases

- You are a leader and an entrepreneur that people willingly follow
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years of experience leading a team of product owners.
- Experience in developing and launching successful digital products in a technology company.
- Strong servant leadership skills and the ability to lead by example with a virtual global distributed team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex product concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product management
- Ability to work in a hybrid model in Chicago.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in building ERP Platforms on platforms such as Salesforce
- Experience in building Financial Accounting Systems such as FinancialForce
- Manage MVP and project and release scope to achieve timelines and goals
- Passion for the Salesforce platform and awareness of its potential
- A desire to work collaboratively as part of a high-powered team
- Empathy for end users and stakeholders, and a desire to provide excellent service
- Enthusiasm for Digital Transformation, and helping users unlock the power of data and automation
- Ability to write fantastic user stories that an Agile team can deliver efficiently
- Experience making and using reports to drive business outcomes
- Understanding of Data Governance
- Experience in business operations such as talent management and forecasting, project management, utilization management
- Experience in consulting
