The hiring range for this role is:
$155,000.00 - $175,000.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range, and this range may be modified in the future. A candidate's position within the range may depend on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual bonus incentive pay.

Synergie Medication Collective is a new organization formed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield affiliated companies to improve affordability and access to costly medical benefit drugs for nearly 100 million Americans. The Trade Client Strategy Director will liaise with participants, manage clinical policies, implement strategies, and collaborate with internal teams for rebate programs and compliance.
Primary Job Functions
- Consult with Client Relations team on Trade inquiries, initiatives, and opportunities with Participants.
- Understand rebate and formulary strategies and communicate effectively with health plan participants.
- Have knowledge of PBM operations, drug, and UM strategy and policy implementation.
- Interpret pharmaceutical manufacturer drug contracts and align terms with UM policy.
- Manage medical and pharmacy clinical policies to ensure manufacturer contract compliance.
- Support Client Relations team for Trade inquiries.
Partner with Stakeholders
- Analytics Team for drug trends and utilization data.
- Client Relations for participant questions and issues.
- Clinical Team for data and policy review.
- Invoicing Team for policy documentation and inquiries.
- Product Team for policy support on therapies and programs.
Education, Experience, and Certification
- Pharmacy degree and Pharm D. preferred.
- 5-7 years in healthcare, PBM, utilization management, contracting, client relations, or analytics.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Application of clinical data for financial value.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Pharmacy residency or equivalent experience.
- Experience with PBM, Medicaid, Medicare, and health plans.
- Contract language and risk mitigation experience.
Travel up to 10%. Work is generally remote.
