Responsibilities
We seek dedicated employees who will champion the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes putting patients first, improving community quality of life, fostering innovation, providing high-quality care, and doing what is right.
The CEO role offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on hospital operations management in a critical care environment. The CEO will provide leadership, strategic direction, and operations management with a focus on business development, quality patient care, and fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will analyze complex situations, make effective decisions, demonstrate high integrity, positivity, and operate effectively under pressure. They should be a proactive self-starter capable of broad responsibility in a dynamic healthcare setting. The CEO will serve as vice-chair of the Governing Board if there is no market CEO.
- Perform daily rounds on the nursing floor, communicating with patients, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and oversee the Complaint-Grievance Process.
- Guarantee hospital compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
- Focus on employee engagement.
- Create, cultivate, and own a Top 10 Key Business Development Relationship list.
- Understand and implement the Corporate Case Management and PPS Model.
- Prepare an Annual Operating Budget, a 3-year Capital Budget, and a Strategic Plan for approval by the Governing Board.
- Maintain high ethical standards, adhere to policies, and comply with all standards including HIPAA.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals passionate about providing superior quality and who thrive as inventive problem solvers in dynamic environments.
Minimum requirements:
- Master's Degree required.
- At least three (3) years of leadership experience in healthcare.
- Experience in management functions including finance, strategic planning, and community health education.
- At least three (3) years of operations experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.
