The Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for selling our Acute Care products in the US hospital and ambulatory surgery center markets. The role involves working closely with surgical teams to ensure product utilization, developing strategies for product introduction and growth, and building relationships with key healthcare personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales goals by developing territory-specific strategies aligned with overall brand strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers such as surgeons, anesthesiologists, and pharmacy directors.
- Work to get products on hospital formularies, in EMR systems, and incorporated into protocols and standing orders.
- Deliver compliant and effective sales presentations tailored to customer needs.
- Create programs like peer-to-peer initiatives to maximize sales opportunities.
- Provide education on product use in surgical settings, including conducting in-services.
- Maintain knowledge of our products, disease states, and competitors to support customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in a relevant field preferred; experience may substitute.
- At least three years of account management experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales targeting surgeons, with experience in OR settings preferred.
- Experience with hospital P&T processes and selling in orthopedic or general surgery environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to build strategic relationships, understand market drivers, and develop effective business plans.
- Strong communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of pain management and related practices.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed; valid driver’s license required.
- Salary range: $135,000 - $175,000 plus target bonus of $65,000.
