Senior Product Manager, JP Books, Books (Seattle)

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying customer pain points, analyzing data, defining strategy and leading the launch of features that enhance or create new customer experiences and drive significant improvements in business performance. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop strategy, set the roadmap, and then drive execution with cross-functional teams. This role comes at the intersection of business, marketing and tech.
You will be the strategic point of contact with worldwide Amazon business, operations and tech teams, and must therefore be confident liaising with global business and technology teams at senior leadership levels.
The ideal candidate has a strong customer experience background, intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts and prioritization. You must also be passionate about building and iterating indirectly through cross-functional teams. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Obsess and become the champion of JP Books Rewards customer experience
- Dive deep into data to understand key opportunities and customer pain points
- Define a roadmap of high impact growth features
- Develop clear business and product requirements
- Lead strategic reviews and prioritisation discussions
- Work with tech teams to launch features
- Build strong relationships across WW Books and Amazon JP partner teams.
- Ability to work with sensitive content, including culturally sensitive and adult content

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals
- Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using data and metrics to drive strategy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Japanese language preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership
- Excellent business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
