Who We Are
At ProService Hawaii, we empower businesses and employees across the islands. As Hawaii’s largest local HR partner, we provide innovative HR solutions in payroll, benefits, risk management, and more. With over 18 years as a Best Place to Work, we’re dedicated to fostering a purpose-driven, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Senior People Partner who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. This role is responsible for driving organizational health by acting as a trusted advisor to people leaders across the business. You’ll coach managers to build high-performing teams, lead key talent initiatives, and ensure our people practices scale with the needs of the business. That encompasses everything from hands-on employee relations to leading talent assessments and enforcing accountability—including helping managers exit employees who are not meeting expectations.
What makes this role unique is the need to operate at depth and pace. You’ll be expected to influence without authority, rapidly build trust, and balance business objectives with empathetic leadership—all while navigating a broad portfolio of people topics with judgment and tenacity.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Strategic people consultation: Partner with leaders to drive performance, navigate employee relations, and build org effectiveness—rooted in sound judgment and data-informed insights.
- Performance and accountability coaching: Provide leadership development through regular 1:1 guidance to people managers; ensuring people performance expectations are clear, consistent, and rigorously upheld.
- Talent and engagement execution: Lead quarterly talent assessments, analyze eNPS feedback, and implement proactive retention and culture strategies.
- Program leadership: Own critical annual processes including Rate of Pay and Open Enrollment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Change leadership: Drive adoption of HR best practices while acting as a culture carrier during periods of transformation or uncertainty.
What You Bring
The right candidate is a high-trust advisor with a builder’s mindset—someone who can zoom out to see the strategy and zoom in to execute. You’re comfortable managing ambiguity, influencing leaders across functions, and coaching others through hard decisions. You hold a high bar for leadership quality and play a key role in raising it across the organization. To be successful, you’ll need:
- A proven track record partnering directly with senior leaders to shape team dynamics, drive people decisions, and improve org health.
- Deep experience resolving complex employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and advising on legal and ethical best practices.
- Confidence analyzing and interpreting HR data to identify trends and surface actionable insights. Comfort with structured performance systems, including calibration, performance improvement, and succession planning.
- Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to execute in a high-change, fast-paced environment—without losing sight of what matters most.
Your unique background, perspectives, and experience matter to us. Even if you don’t check every box, we encourage you to apply and share your story.
