JOB SUMMARY:
The Director reports to the University Director of Financial Aid and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws related to federal student aid (Title IV). Responsibilities include overseeing the Military, Grad, Nursing, and Partner Engagement teams, ensuring proper administration of financial aid, and collaborating with various university departments to provide an exceptional student and staff experience.
Remote work is supported with specific equipment and internet requirements. Candidates must have a reliable home internet connection meeting specified speed criteria and a designated workspace free from noise and distractions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations.
- Ensure high customer service standards within the team.
- Manage past due amounts and packaging rates for Title IV aid.
- Supervise specialty teams, develop performance metrics, and coach team members.
- Promote teamwork and coordinate support for students, faculty, and staff.
- Implement policies for financial aid processes ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure reporting requirements are met and stay informed of regulatory changes.
- Manage staffing, training, and team structure.
- Prepare reports for leadership and handle customer concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- At least 5 years of leadership experience and 5 years in Financial Aid.
- Preferred experience with Nursing/Military students, especially military financial aid.
