Position - Senior Tax Manager

Location - Chicago, IL

Office Policy - Hybrid

Compensation - Range of $200-$225k base plus bonus

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary tax advisor to business units, delivering strategic tax guidance to support operational and investment decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tax considerations into business planning and ensure alignment with broader organizational goals
• Monitor and interpret evolving tax laws and regulations, providing proactive analysis and actionable recommendations to optimize compliance and identify opportunities
• Manage and review the preparation of direct and indirect tax workpapers and returns; coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings
• Partner with the Finance team to ensure proper reporting of income tax provisions and related items impacting financial statements
• Support the Global Head of Tax by mentoring junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the tax function

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in tax with a financial services or technology/infra tilt
• CPA and/or MST highly preferred
• Strong technical skills and business acumen; you’ll partner with cross-functional leaders
• Track record of navigating complex tax structures and advising on strategy
• Interest in automation and process improvement a plus
