Job Description
The Winston Chung Global Energy Center (WCGEC), in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Research and Education Institute (RAISE), invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on advancing the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) techniques in electric power systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of energy and intelligent systems in a collaborative and interdisciplinary setting. The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of electric power systems, strong foundation in AI/ML techniques and familiarity with current research trends, experience working with large and complex datasets, a proven track record of research publications, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred qualifications include a background in cyber-security, particularly in the context of energy systems, and experience with analytical methods, stochastic modeling, or optimization.
