Xception Advisory Group is a boutique, multi-family office style practice serving ultra-high-net-worth entrepreneurs primarily in the Metro Atlanta marketplace, extending into the Southeastern US. We offer a holistic suite of services including business planning, trust and estate planning, M&A transaction support, tax strategies, wealth management, and insurance solutions.
Summary of Essential Duties
A Director of Investment Services (DIS) must have broad knowledge across investment advisory services such as portfolio design, custody platforms, regulatory requirements, public and private markets, and tax considerations. Responsibilities include portfolio design, monitoring, support, and management for household investment accounts. The DIS should be adept at client communication, working with third-party partners, and presenting complex information clearly. Reporting to the CEO, the role demands organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership
- Provide training and mentorship in investment strategy execution.
- Improve policies and procedures to enhance operations and client service.
Investment Advisory Process & Client Services
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with client goals and risk tolerances.
- Oversee investment portfolios, asset allocation, rebalancing, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities.
- Perform periodic client and leadership performance reviews.
- Maintain relationships with external partners like private market sponsors and investment managers.
- Manage client financial dashboards and provide strategic advice.
- Support clients with performance reporting and annual updates.
- Coordinate with other professional advisors to deliver holistic advice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required), CFP preferred.
- Series 7 and 66 licenses, applicable state licenses.
- Minimum 5 years of financial planning experience.
- Experience with Fidelity Wealthscape, Envestnet, iCapital, CAIS, BlackDiamond.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow-up skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn.
