Swope Health is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead people strategy and operations through an exciting phase of growth and innovation. The CHRO reports directly to the CEO and supervises all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition, employee engagement, benefits, training and development, and workforce strategy. Primary Functions:
- Lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies, policies and objectives that result in the Swope Health organization realizing its mission and achieving its stated goals.
- Strategize optimal staffing levels throughout the organization for the delivery of efficient and effective operations.
- Ensure effective, efficient administration and delivery of all human resources services, recruitment, benefits administration, associate relations, payroll, credentialing, records retention, learning and development, performance and related activities.
- Ensure effective development of policies, procedures and related training documentation to maintain the consistently effective and compliant delivery of HR services
- Lead the organization in embracing and adopting practices that result in the attraction, retention and development of high performing individuals and teams.
- Ensure all Swope Health staff are properly coached and directed, and that clearly defined measurements of performance, accountabilities and rewards are utilized to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness
- Directly affect the development of a culture that demonstrates the behaviors and competencies necessary to achieve the mission of the Swope Health organization.
- Ensure that the Swope Health organization conforms to all local, state, and federal requirements, guidelines, legislation and regulations in its role as “employer.” Ensure all human resources requirements for NCQA, OSHA, NAIC, JCAHO and related professional accreditations are met.
- Ensure maximum cost effectiveness of all voluntary and mandatory benefits and services associated with the employment functions of Swope Health. Such benefits and services include: health and welfare benefits, retirement programs and associated employee benefits, worker's compensation, unemployment compensation, incentive programs and related rewards and incentives.
- Develops and implements operational strategies, plans, goals, and tactics that achieved expected financial, service, productivity and related outcomes measures for assigned departments.
- Fosters and ensures positive, collaborative relationships within and among all functions associated with the overall operations of the organization
Successful Candidates will have:
- An undergraduate degree in Human resources management or related, with a preference for a master’s degree or advanced degree
- 10+ years of human resources leadership experience, with healthcare context preferred
- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification strongly preferred
- Experience making and owning data-driven decisions
- Experience partnering with and collaborating with executive leadership across functions
- Experience leveraging diversity, equity, and inclusion as assets in the workplace
- Experience in employee relations, compensation philosophy, and associate wellness strategy
- Experience building and sustaining talent pipelines at all levels of the organization and familiarity with healthcare professional training institutions
- Experience developing and training staff members and establishing a culture of learning
- Experience managing organizational budgets, projects, teams, and strategic plan
