What will challenge you
We're seeking a corporate business development director who'll bring a strategic vision, a passion for cultivating business-to-business (B2B) relationships and a drive to deliver revenue growth to the role.
As our corporate business development director, you'll shape the future of our B2B strategy and make a visible impact on IREM's success by:
- owning corporate relationships and serving as an advisor to stakeholders at existing customers and partners, while developing new relationships with potential stakeholders.
- developing and executing strategies that drive B2B relationships and define IREM Industry Partner value and other programs to generate revenue.
- building and applying consultative knowledge of IREM and IREM Foundation offerings and initiatives to propose solutions that best fit the customer/partner needs.
- executing the end-to-end sales cycle that includes prospecting and lead generation; outreach and engagement; needs assessment; proposal development; presentation and negotiation; contracting; asset fulfillment, reports data and KPIs, and relationship management.
- working cross functionally with IREM and IREM Foundation team members to manage opportunities, create custom solutions, and execute commitments to strategic partners and corporate clients.
- attending IREM events to strengthen industry relationships, promote IREM and IREM Foundation sponsorship offerings, and to execute onsite sponsorships and exhibits.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for candidates who possess:
- Bachelor's degree in communications or business or have equivalent experience.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in a sponsorship/advertising/sales/business development role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with high level of confidence.
- Solid organization and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce.com, or other comparable CRM application preferred.
- Ability to travel 3-4 times per year.

Starting salary range is $100,000 - $105,000, depending on experience.
