Overview:
We are seeking experienced tax professionals from Associate level up to Manager, Senior Manager, or Director to join our Big 4 clients' growing Tax team serving clients in the asset management and broader financial services sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital groups, and insurance companies in a dynamic international environment. You will advise on U.S. and international tax matters, support compliance, and provide insights on structuring, transactions, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage U.S. tax compliance and consulting engagements for partnerships, corporations, and other entities in asset management
- Review and prepare U.S. tax returns and forms including but not limited to:
- Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120-F, Form 1040-NR
- Form 5471, Form 8865, Form 8858, Form 8938, Form 1118, Form 8621
- FATCA and CRS-related reporting
- Analyze and apply U.S. Subchapter K, Subchapter C, PFIC, and CFC rules
- Assist clients with tax structuring and cross-border planning, including inbound and outbound investment strategies
- Prepare and review tax workpapers, allocations, M-1 adjustments, and tax basis schedules
- Advise on fund formation, investment structuring, and exit planning
- Liaise with clients, legal counsel, auditors, and tax authorities as needed
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, manage project timelines and deliverables
- Monitor and interpret U.S. tax legislation relevant to offshore asset managers
Qualifications:
- CPA (U.S.), EA (Enrolled Agent), CTA (UK), ACA, or LL.M. in Taxation
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant U.S. tax experience, ideally within Big 4, mid-tier, or in-house financial services tax team
- Extensive experience with U.S. partnership and corporate tax compliance, international reporting, and asset management clients
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal income tax and cross-border taxation
- Knowledge of structures like master-feeder funds, blockers, offshore investment vehicles
- Experience with international jurisdictions, FATCA, CRS, and regulatory frameworks is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
