A highly respected 40-person accounting firm based in Seattle is seeking a Tax Senior Manager with strong Professional Services, Real Estate, and various other industry experience to join their team in a Partner succession role .

The Role

This is a leadership position designed with succession planning in mind. The Tax Senior Manager will work closely with current partners to transition key client relationships, mentor staff, and guide tax strategy for a dynamic client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements for Professional Service clients, Real Estate, and various other industries
• Review and sign off on high-level returns, including Partnerships, S-corporations, and Individuals
• Provide proactive tax planning and consultative services
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff
• Build trusted relationships with clients and become a succession point of contact for partners
• Collaborate directly with firm leadership on internal initiatives and strategy

Qualifications

• CPA license required
• 8+ years of progressive tax experience at a CPA firm, with recent focus on professional services clients
• Extensive experience in a public accounting firm environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working directly with clients and partners
• Demonstrated leadership and interest in potential firm ownership a plus (but not required)
• Based in Seattle, or willing to travel to Seattle office weekly
