Location: AC Honolulu, HI
Overview: The Director of Sales is responsible for leading revenue strategy for segments including group, transient, and catering. The role involves analyzing market trends, competitive environment, and managing the sales teams to meet or exceed revenue goals. Managing the sales and marketing budget is also a key responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive top-line revenue for sales segments.
- Assess and respond to market trends and competition.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the organization.
- Utilize data from Smith Travel Research, P&L, and other reports for strategic decisions.
- Understand and communicate market dynamics and economic factors.
- Conduct competitive reviews and SWOT analyses.
- Develop strategies to penetrate primary markets.
- Manage key accounts and develop sales goals.
- Design sales deployment strategies and market assignments.
- Manage sales activity, travel schedules, and set production goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience in hotel sales leadership.
- Experience with ownership groups and asset management.
- Proficient in Marriott Sales Systems & PMS.
- Collaborative experience with revenue management.
- Knowledge of market segments and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
