Position Summary:
To assist the superintendent substantially and effectively in the task of providing leadership in technology,
Enrollment, state reporting, facilities, building and grounds, elementary and secondary staffing, organizational
Culture, leadership, supervision and development, and long-range planning.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure equity practices are embedded in the Human Resources, Business, Technology and Facilities Departments.
- Serve as a safety/security and EPCOT liaison with local law enforcement agencies.
- Serve as internal contact during crisis response.
- Oversee enrollment.
- Oversee Facilities Planning.
- Provides leadership for the district continuous quality improvement process as it relates to both
school building and district initiatives. - Serves upon assignment by the superintendent as a resource person to various projects in the
district, and, as appropriate, provides leadership for those projects.

- Assists the Executive Director of Business Services with enrollment projections, boundary
changes, and emergency closings. - Assists in the preparation and administration of the district’s budget and relevant department
budgets. - Develops, establishes, and refines the general program of the divisions of administration and
personnel. - Keeps informed of and interprets all laws, regulations, statutes, rules, and status reports for the
superintendent’s review and action. - Demonstrates strategies to nurture high staff morale and strong district and community relations.

- Assists the Executive Director of Human Resources in planning and administering an efficient
system of recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating all personnel in the district.
- Assists the Executive Director of Human Resources in planning and administering an efficient
- Oversee Buildings and Grounds.
- Serve as WISESecure Administrator.
- Attends board of education meetings and attends and presides over such other meetings as the
superintendent designates. - Serves in the absence of the superintendent as the chief administrative officer of the district.
- Represents the superintendent of schools at educational, civic and other functions at local, state, or national
levels when deemed advisable or as needed. - Evaluates the professional competencies of all assigned administrative staff through utilization of the district
evaluation model. - Conducts staff meetings as needed to interpret changes in board policy or administrative rules, to discuss
relevant issues, and to evaluate developments in education as they pertain to the areas of assigned
responsibility. - Communicates to the superintendent the requirements and needs of the district as perceived by staff
members. - Keeps abreast of developments and innovations in the field of education by reading current literature,
attending professional society and association meetings, and conferences, and discussing developments and
problems of mutual interest with others in the field. - Maintains liaison with local institutions of higher education.
- Prepares drafts of needed board policies, administrative rules, and status reports for the superintendent’s
review and action. - Prepares and submits reports and other documents as required by the superintendent and the board of
education. - Devises comprehensive and effective systems of record keeping in accordance with the particular needs and
the policies, regulations, and laws affecting the district. - Works cooperatively with leaders of other administrative divisions in integrating and coordinating
individual efforts into a unified program for the district. - Coordinates timely response to federal and state reports.
- Serve as ESSA coordinator – Title I, IIA, III, IVA, IVB (federal funding formerly known as ESEA
- Oversee and respond to customer complaints and works with school staff to resolve issues.
- Oversee Grant Approvals
- Oversee open records request process.
Other Responsibilities.
- All other duties as assigned.
- KPI Responsibility – Facility Plan – 10 Year Outlook, Worker’s Compensation Claims, Safety Plan.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience in facilities project management.
- Data-Driven decision-maker.
- Teamwork oriented.
- Leadership experience.
- Effective communicator.
- Develop and practice effective change management skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Master’s degree from an accredited university.
- Current district administrator license in the State of Wisconsin.
- A minimum of three years of central office and building principal experience.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate or acceptable.
