Role: Business Development Manager

Lead strategic growth efforts and government engagement to bring next-generation defense technologies to market. Ideal for a seasoned operator with deep experience in DoD acquisitions and stakeholder relations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Acquisition

• Develop and execute BD strategies across defense and federal sectors
• Lead pursuits from early opportunity to negotiation
• Build and leverage relationships across DoD and government agencies

Government Engagement

• Serve as primary liaison to acquisition leaders and policy makers
• Advocate for emerging tech in policy forums and budget discussions

Market Development

• Identify adjacent opportunities (homeland security, public safety, international)
• Align internal capabilities with evolving operational needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with product and engineering teams to reflect user needs
• Translate government feedback into product direction
• Build repeatable processes for outreach and contracting

Qualifications

Required

• U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility
• 8+ years in DoD BD, acquisitions, or related roles
• Proven success introducing new tech to defense programs
• Strong relationships with acquisition offices, program execs, and congressional staff

Preferred

• Familiarity with special operations, rapid acquisition, or advanced capabilities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
