Role

The individual will work closely with regional and global capabilities, to ensure that projects and day to day activities with the BU are coordinated, and that processes are streamlined. There will be particularly close interaction with the Change function in articulating the business requirements for technology and process related change, and with the Strategic and Operational Planning team in setting and monitoring the Regional Business Unit’s strategy and delivering associated initiatives. They will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to lead through influence. Having a mind for details whilst being able to understand the bigger picture is also crucial.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Support: Advise the Regional CEO on strategic direction and initiatives, providing insights and recommendations.
- Strategic and Operational Planning: Lead a process within the Regional Business Unit to generate, execute and monitor a portfolio of initiatives and projects aligned to Canopius’ strategy. Ensure that dependencies on different capabilities are clearly identified and communicated.
- Project Management: Take a project lead role on specific projects from conception through to execution.
- Operational Management and Process Efficiency: work with regional capabilities to ensure day-to-day operational activities are coordinated and are conducted efficiently – aligned to a clear target for End to End processes.
- Communication: Handle internal and external communications on behalf of the Regional CEO, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
- Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: Work with regional capabilities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance of key initiatives and projects, providing regular updates to the Regional CEO.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of digital transformation and technology implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead through influence.
- Future-focused and pragmatic mindset.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle a number of different competing priorities.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
