Senior Accountant - Boston, MA - Investment Manager

Our team is working with a leading private Investment Manager based in Boston, serving individuals, family offices, institutions, and asset management firms, to hire a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will handle all aspects of accounting and finance, including maintaining the general ledger, financial analysis, and reporting. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting, in coordination with the COO.

This is a full-time, in-office role offering up to $100K base salary, bonuses, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts receivable and payable processing
• Monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes
• Research and analysis of income statement accounts
• Preparation of financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, members’ equity, cash flow)
• Maintaining general ledger integrity
• Managing daily treasury operations
• Collaborating with SVP on HR responsibilities like benefits, FSA, 401(k), and payroll
• Working with tax preparers on state tax notices
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with year-end processes and audits
• Developing statistical and accounting reports
• Maintaining account reconciliations
• Financial analysis and KPIs
• Supporting 1099 and Form 5500 preparation and review
• Handling ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of accounting experience (public and industry experience preferred)
• Knowledge of ADP payroll software a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, QuickBooks, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Financial services experience is advantageous but not mandatory
