Description
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead innovation in finance for banking, BaaS, and our Fintech partners. The CFO will capitalize on opportunities by adapting to a global market and preparing Coastal for future challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead the organization’s financial functions for banking and Fintech/BaaS.
- Contribute to strategic planning and development as a key partner.
- Assess and advise on long-term plans, new programs, strategies, and regulatory impacts.
- Provide analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends to support executive decision-making.
- Develop and ensure compliance with financial policies using technology systems.
- Collaborate with Technology leadership to improve financial processes.
- Build credibility and act as an effective problem solver within the organization and with the Board.
- Forecast capital needs and identify financial resources.
- Improve budgeting processes and cost management strategies.
- Offer financial guidance on strategic decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize cash management strategies.
- Develop cash flow projections, liquidity plans, and contingency strategies.
- Advise on financial contracts and evaluate organizational structure for efficiency.
- Mentor finance team members and promote professional growth.
- Drive innovative financial technologies and streamline operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and oversee reporting functions.
- Support board and management committees and lead capital planning.
- Manage asset-liability and risk management processes.
- Serve as Corporate Secretary, overseeing Board documentation and records.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related; MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications like CPA or CFA are a plus.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years as a CFO or senior finance executive in a publicly traded financial or fintech company.
- Experience with SEC reporting, investor relations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of fintech, BaaS, and embedded finance.
- Experience integrating technology with financial strategies in high-growth, regulated environments.
