Role
The Director of Finance is responsible for managing accounting operations for the organization including overseeing the collection of data and information required to produce financial statements, supervising budget planning, coordinating internal and external audit processes and 990 prep, and making adjustments based on the audit results.

Role
The Director of Finance is responsible for managing accounting operations for the organization including overseeing the collection of data and information required to produce financial statements, supervising budget planning, coordinating internal and external audit processes and 990 prep, and making adjustments based on the audit results.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes
- Managing cashflow
- Consistently analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate with Development team on proper recognition reconciliation of contribution revenue
- Overseeing payroll processes
- Manage booking and reconciliation of alternative investments
- Coordinating audit activities
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
- 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting, in a non-profit organization
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a CPA or MBA is preferred
- Experience coordinating audit activities, managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Experience in grants management as it relates to compliance and recognition and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants is preferred
- Knowledge of accounting and reporting software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data
