The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling discovery, early development, and GMP manufacturing solutions to biopharma clients, with deep connections in the regional biotech ecosystem. This is a high-impact, hunter role focused on driving new business, building relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for Aragen’s discovery, early development, and GMP manufacturing services within the Boston/Cambridge territory.
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Cultivate and expand relationships with key decision-makers at biotech and pharmaceutical companies, leveraging your existing network.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, client presentations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Collaborate with internal scientific, technical, and operational teams to align client needs with Aragen’s capabilities.
- Represent Aragen at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in the Boston/Cambridge region.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required; advanced degree (MS/PhD/MBA) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of successful business development or sales experience in the biopharma services sector, with a focus on discovery, early development, and GMP manufacturing solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Established network of contacts within the Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharma community.
- Strong “hunter” mentality: self-motivated, proactive, and driven to win new business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Passion for science, innovation, and supporting clients in bringing new therapies to market.
- Willingness to travel locally and within the assigned territory, as needed, for client meetings and industry events.
