Mission

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety.

Job Description

• Network Engineer - Memory Capacity: Supports the development of capacity utilization dashboards that detail memory capacity and performance metrics.
• Assists in developing and delivering capacity and performance reports as needed. Validates, documents, tracks, and manages the as-is capacity for memory resource area.
• Monitors current performance and utilization, capacity projections, capacity issues, and assists in creating plans for improving performance and satisfying Government-approved Service Levels.
• Defines and develops capacity utilization dashboards that detail memory capacity and performance metrics. Develops and delivers capacity and performance reports as needed.
• Routinely interfaces with Government Capacity Manager and technical stakeholders to communicate memory capacity and performance status, changes, and issues. Manages and tracks memory data and availability.
• Extracts data out of a variety of systems that manage capacity and performance such as SolarWinds and/or NetApp. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience

Certifications:

Required : Security + or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or SSCP

Desired: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or Certified Capacity Management Practitioner (CCMP) or ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS)

Location: Onsite - Offutt AFB, Nebraska - Relocation may be available

Clearance: Must be willing to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
