ED Technician Lead, Emergency, 7pm-7:30am

Facilitates the provision of timely and effective patient care under the supervision of licensed members of the healthcare team.  Assist the Emergency Technician Coordinator in department operations by being responsible for the equipment, supplies, and departmental safety checks. Helps maintain a safe and clean environment in order to enhance department operations. Patient care is delivered consistent with the model and philosophy of relationship based care. This position formally reports to the department Clinical Director and informally reports to the Emergency Department Technician Coordinator.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of infection control
• Able to work using aseptic techniques
• Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
• Knowledge of equipment and supplies needed for emergency services

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years ED Tech experience.
• Minimal EKG knowledge; able to set-up and run 12-lead EKG.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Phlebotomy skills required.

• Windows and Mouse skills preferred
