Job Summary and Qualifications  Shifts

Available shift times, 9am-930pm, 11am-1130pm, and 1pm-130am.

Call

2 call shifts in a 6 week period.

Must be within 30 minutes of facility if called back in As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients.

Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects.

You will provide initial wound care to the patients’ surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery.

You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team.

This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview.

What qualifications you will need

Required Experience

One year of RN experience Preferred Experience

Critical Care and or strong hospital nursing experience Required Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position.

Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.

Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members.

Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed.

RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.

Preferred Education

Masters in Nursing.

Required License

Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.

Required Certifications

BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH Preferred Certifications
