Job Description
Cone Health is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team serving patients across the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina.
As a key advanced practice provider within our collaborative, patient-centered care model, the CRNA will deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care for a diverse surgical and procedural population in a variety of acute care settings.
Working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, proceduralists, nurses, and other members of the interprofessional team, the CRNA will perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop individualized anesthetic plans, administer and manage general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, and closely monitor patients’ physiological status throughout the perioperative period.
Responsibilities include obtaining and evaluating medical histories, ordering and interpreting relevant diagnostic tests, selecting appropriate anesthetic techniques and medications, securing and managing airways, initiating and adjusting anesthetic agents and infusions, providing hemodynamic and ventilatory support, responding rapidly to changes in patient condition, and managing emergence and immediate post-anesthesia recovery.
The CRNA will participate in postoperative pain management, including regional techniques and multimodal analgesia, and provide patient and family education regarding anesthesia care and recovery expectations.The CRNA will adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, Cone Health policies, and all state and federal regulations governing anesthesia practice, documenting care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record and contributing to quality and safety initiatives.
