This business unit will serve as a key platform for expansion in a global industry valued at nearly $10 trillion in market cap.
Job Summary:
As the CFO, you will contribute to the development of the organization’s long-term and short-term business plans, focusing on planning, budgeting, and financial performance management. The CFO is a leadership role that significantly influences the company's strategy with a comprehensive approach to various business matters.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO ensures integrity through process knowledge, technical expertise, and reporting leadership, emphasizing timeliness, accuracy, and consistency. Your management skills, accounting knowledge, financial forecasting expertise, and ability to build partnerships will be crucial in advancing the company's vision and goals. This role involves creating and maintaining robust financial models, managing budgets, overseeing planning processes, tracking performance, and participating in strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Develop a comprehensive plan to achieve organizational objectives.
- Create balanced scorecards and define KPIs for effective management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team to ensure alignment with growth plans.
- Implement policies and procedures to scale and manage the organization effectively.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, managing work allocation, training, performance evaluations, and team building. Serve as a talent champion for future leaders.
- Understand the company's financing needs and options.
- Gain a holistic understanding of the business and operations, continuously seeking performance improvements.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish product-level P&Ls and department budgets.
- Ensure smooth operation of all finance and accounting functions.
- Interface with institutional investors, private equity, banks, and other financial entities.
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement FP&A strategies and rhythms, managing financial health effectively.
- Set yearly financial objectives aligned with growth and expansion plans.
- Assess financial performance against operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data, report performance, and monitor expenditures.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and asset management.
- Oversee budgets and financial forecasts, reviewing results and providing recommendations.
Accounting, Tax, Audit, Risk & Insurance
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage tax matters across jurisdictions.
- Enhance financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Stay current on audit practices and legal compliance.
- Protect company assets through controls and insurance.
- Partner with supply chain and operations to support procurement budgeting and cost management.
- Lead external audits and tax engagements.
Treasury & Debt Management
- Report to lenders and creditors as needed.
- Develop strategies to meet sales and receivables targets.
- Establish credit and collection policies.
- Review receivables and reduce risks.
- Develop financial models for capital investments.
Merger & Acquisition Integration
- Perform due diligence on acquisitions.
- Partner on integration and onboarding of new companies.
Special Projects
- Lead projects as directed by investors or leadership.
Education: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Over 10 years in finance, with expertise in effectiveness, CFO advisory, process, policy, technology, operations, and strategy.
- Experience in supply chain businesses, preferably in food & beverage distribution.
- Proven leadership in high-growth organizations, with strong accounting and financial process knowledge.
- Experience working with auditors, controls, and compliance.
- Leadership in transformation initiatives and solid knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
